A store with no lines and no checkout
Amazon Go is a supermarket in Seattle with no checkouts (and no queuing). You just launch an app on arrival, take the products you need and leave.
Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology combines sensors, visual recognition and machine learning for a different shopping experience. It aims to make the shopping experience as smooth and simple as possible. All shoppers have to do is pick up an item.
Customers accept close digital scrutiny in return for an obvious benefit. Never mind if all the data goes into a behavioural database.
