3D-printed emergency response

Field Ready is an NGO that puts 3D printers to use in crisis situations. Its aim is to give autonomy and independence back to victims, and the people who support them, with regard to suppliers and institutions that allocate international funding, especially during major events such as natural disasters or epidemics.
Present in Haiti, Field Ready has developed a 3D printer that uses solar energy, capable of producing surgical tools, like the clamps used by midwives when they deliver babies.
It's a rapid, efficient, inexpensive and adaptable solution in areas where medical and health emergency is crucial.
