World-class education for refugees online
According to the United Nations, fewer than 1% of refugees of university age gain access to higher education.
Psychology student Markus Kressler developed an online training programme giving free courses to 1,500 refugees in a range of subjects for 2 years.
The programme lets them acquire skills, learn a language and join one of 22 partner universities. Kiron shows how tech can train large nomadic populations remotely with no educational infrastructure. This connection to the rest of mankind and a possible future could even be seen as a right.
