Tinder for networking
Shapr is a networking social media inspired by the codes of dating apps. Every day, Shapr suggests 15 new connections, selected via algorithm through matching interests, location or potential career opportunities. Like Tinder, you just have to swipe right or left to signal you are interested in meeting the person. If the interest is mutual, there’s a match: users are notified and can chat and meet.

The app’s creator Ludovic Huraux (known for developing the dating site Attractive World) has applied dating website features to professional networking. Mobile-first and time-efficient, the app is directly targeting millennials looking for inspiration or mentor. As of September 2017, Shapr counted 600,000 users, mostly in the United States.
