TJay is a wearable smart glove with applications for monitoring, diagnosis and treatment for people with epilepsy. TJay senses 11 signals from the body and gives warning of a possible imminent epileptic attack. The IoT- based glove captures electrical signals travelling through the body and transmits them to a cloud environment. It allows doctors to remotely monitor patients and take timely decisions.
Rajlakshmi Borthakur, the mother of a 5 year-old epileptic boy, developed Tjay. As it detects warning signs that are imperceptible to the human eye - or even the wearer - the smart glove is a great source of empowerment for epilepsy sufferers and their family.
